Kim Delaney was an American actress. She is most famous because of her part as detective Diane Russell, in the ABC series NYPD Blue. For this she received an Emmy Award. Her credits are All My Children Philly CSI: Miami & Army Wives. Delaney was the only daughter of an United Auto Workers executive and his wife who was a household worker. She grew up in a home that included four brothers. In her early years, she dreamt of being a reporter for the court. But after she graduated from high school and moving into New York in the 1980s, she began modeling. Delaney was portrayed as an innocent child in the 1981 soap opera All My Children. Since then Delaney has been in a variety of film and television dramas. Delaney has not lived a satisfying or happy life in her personal. The talented actress has struggled with alcoholism in the past as well as two failed marriages. In 2005, the actress was denied custody over her only son.
